Travelling To Tenerife

You will find more choice (daily) and cheaper flights off-season (Nov. till end March). There are several low cost airlines detailed on Useful Links page. South Tenerife airport (Reina Sofia Airport) is far more commonly used.

Travel From Airport To Las Americas

Taxis are freely available at the airport at all times of the day or night. Its approx. 25 minutes from airport to Las Americas. In peak season, you may have to queue for a taxi. Buses- Titsa buses run approx. every 30 minutes from the airport to Las Americas and are a fraction of the taxi costs (Bus No. 450 goes directly from the airport.) Luggage- is no problem, there is plenty of storage, just like the tour coaches. The journey takes approx 40 mins and you should get off at the Hotel Columbus stop, (Near Hyper-Dino supermarket) , which is just around the corner from the apartment. You can purchase a TEN+ discount bus pass from many stores. If in doubt, ask at the information desk in the arrivals hall  Pick up & Drop off -Resort Hoppa An inexpensive pickup service  Car hire is available within the resort, or at the airport. (Make sure you choose Tenerife South Airport If booking On-Line) Take your U.K. driving licence with you! Join the TF1 motorway from the airport, following the clear directions for Los Cristianos/Las Americas. Leave the TF1 at Junction 28, signposted Las Americas. PARKING If arriving by car, temporarily park on basement ramp to left hand side of apartment block & unload luggage, don’t leave car. To park, drive up road approx 100m until you see The Anchor bar on your left hand side. Turn left at this junction & park in side street adjacent to the bar

Health Matters

You are entitled to reciprocal medical benefits as E.U. citizens and you should obtain the relevant documents in the U.K. before leaving home . Form E111 is freely available at Post Offices. The form should be completer and authorized by the Post Office before you leave the U.K. There is an English speaking doctor in a clinic at the bottom of the road outside the apartment. Fire

In emergency, phone 112. There is a fire extinguisher on each balcony outside of the apartment.

Telephoning

To telephone the U.K. from public phone box in Tenerife, dial 7,then wait for a high pitched tone, then 00, followed by the country code (44) then the area code (omitting the initial 0) and the telephone number. Example :- (00 44) 151 420 6506.

Rubbish

Large rubbish bins are located in the central reservation on the road in front of the complex.
